Unless it was that he saw two movies and read no books, but you get the gist.
Quote of the Day:
"You've been moving like lobotomized sloths."
I really enjoyed today. (But you know I sort of enjoy every day?) Even when I was like, the only person who liked doing the word by word movement exercise from the day before. (I liked it because it was part group bonding, part speed thinking, part ensemble, part cohesion, and part linguistics. And a lot of flowing. :D) The mini warmup was nice just because I got to revisit my old volleyball warmup and it was like oh HEY muscles I forget I had how are youuuuu?
What really hit me was the other thing we did with the towels and the monologues. I didn't ever realize how... bitter Northumberland is toward the king. It's like... he's seen a lot of kings go by, and he's got this ideal of what a king is and what a friend is and it's like his speech is basically saying so HELP me god if you hurt my son for this NONSENSE you're breaking both of those and it's bitter and angry and protective and I gotta say I felt like Scar from the Lion King when I said it. Smiling through my hate.
....Mufasa.
Also, the introduction of DERBY means we're well on our way. :D
