Character anlysis of Douglas (with help from the wonderful successor of arpanet)
i am earl of douglas. i like to kill people. i also tell others to kill people. Those "others" are my big army which Hotspur and friends want to use to kill the king and take the crown. I one of them rebels , who would like to overthrow the king.
What time is it?
Fightin time. Presumably summer, nobody really feels like fighting in the winter, the reign of henry iv. a time of turmoil, drunkenness, and fighting.
Where am i?
scotland(where i live) england (where the king lives)
What surrounds me?
fat drunk people who want the crown, and or are trying to help hotspur get said crown. war, dead people, stinkyness, royalty.
What are the given circumstances?
people want to kill the king, i will help by fighting and bringing my army. i fought hotspur who i lost to (who i am now stuck helping) and am free because i promised to help him. also, it is a big wwar and people do probably want war stuff, like me being dead if i'm in the way of what they want.
What is my relationship?
i am the head of an army that is forced to help take the king down. when you kill a king, someones's gotta kill him. hence the armies of killy people.
What do i want?
to not be dead, be in a position of power for helping hotspur get teh crown. money, power, and other usual feudalistic wants.
What is in the way?
hotspur isn't king, there's always more money and power to be had. on my side is the fact that i am not dead presently.
How will i get it?
i will fight, and i will also try to get on hotspur's good side as much as possible.
How will i know when i have it?
i will not be dead, hotspur will be king, i will be richer and more powerful than i currently am, and having moved up some, i will pursue taking over some more.
