Day Five

Uta Hagen stuff. I've done some other stuff based on her book before, but this was new, and equally interesting. I need to read that book.

Anyway, my questions:

1.) Who am I?

I am Owen Glendower. I am magic, chosen by the powers that be from the moment I was born. I am a Welshman, and a rebel against the English crown. I am a father, and a husband. I am a soldier.

2.) What time is it?

It's late 1402. Towards the end of my life. My

3.) Where am I?

Bangor, Wales, a very small city in Britain. I'm in the house of the Archdeacon, a fellow rebel.

4.) What am I surrounded by?

Another man's house. Other rebels. My family. Hate for the king. English people.

5.) What are the given circumstances?

I have kidnapped Mortimer, seeking a ransom which was never paid. Whilst kidnapped, Mortimer married my daughter, and I'm O.K. with that. The lack of ransom-paying on the king's part seems to have sparked Mortimer's brother-in-law towards rebellion, which I would be happy to participate in.. Also, I believe myself to be mystically inclined and a chosen one of sorts.

6.) What are my relationships?

I respect Hotspur as a fellow warrior, though I certainly disagree with him often. I'm fond of my daughter.. I'm really fairly indifferent towards Mortimer. I sort of planned to get his ransom and be done with him, but he's been pretty easy to keep kidnapped, and he's nice. He wouldn't have been my first choice for my daughter to marry, but they seem happy, for whatever reason. The king, I don't like. He's terrible at his job. I actually quite liked Richard the Second. Too bad he's dead. Thanks again, Henry.

7.) What do I want?

Control and Respect.

8.) What is in the way?

The king, along with pretty much everyone in Britain, does not like Wales. Also, no one believes I'm magic.

9.) How am I going to get it?

I plan to take part in a rebellion and depose the king. That'll show people I'm a force to be reckoned with, and display my chosen one status pretty unequivocally.

10.) How will I know when I have it?

People will cease to mock me and my country, and I'll stop having to deal with everything from anti-Welsh laws to insinuations that I am in any way not an earth-shaking demi-god.
