So I'm pretty much exhausted today. And I was yesterday, which is why I didn't post anything. Mainly from getting up early and doing all the stuff at camp, but also 'cuz I went tubing on Sunday, AND DEAR GOD MY ARMS HURT FROM HOLDING ON! :)
But otherwise, yesterday I very much enjoyed the glass snake exercise (despite being scared to death I would run into someone), and the filling the space exercise (despite being scared to death I would run into someone). The overall theme yesterday seemed to be trust, respect, and conveying messages to the audience through the body. Oh, and levels, planes, and lights & the stuff from the family portrait exercise.
Ok, today centered on breathing, voice exercises, projection, and enunciation. I was surprised to find I can hold a lot of breath, which may come from exercise or singing. But the mooing at the walls and hearing other people tune into an almost harmony was cool. So were the tongue twisters, and practicing projection, as I haven't had someone critique my project in a looong time. :)
I'm actually enjoying the blocking a bit too, since it's fun to watch and fairly involved. It's neat to see the ideas that Ian has work out on stage, and even better to see that they're interesting, and not simple or plain.
Finally, I'm glad I get to meet new people. I can't remember anyone's names', but everyone seems pretty cool so far. :)
Also, it took me a while, but I figured out why everyone talks about Krispy Kreme is because it's right next to the theatre. Which I somehow missed until today.
And, as I am supposed to reflect on things to remember them, I learned about our wonderful resident O-possum, and I refuse to not say "O" :) , and that Ian has a twin brother who may or may not be real. :)
Oh, and I think I might post a particularly funny picture now and again... here's for today ^.^
so we'll see if this works right or if I have to edit... again... :P
